Joe Bender has been visiting India since 1996. He has traveled extensively in the Deccan and is very familiar the countryside and the people. He lived in India for three years from 2006 to 2008. In 2000 he became a founding board member of a Touch of Love, a non profit NGO doing charitable work in India in the Ahmednagar district and in southern India in response to the tsunami of 2004. A Touch of Love also has programs in Ghana, Argentina and the Dominican Republic. He is also the owner of a medical travel facilitation company which arranges for health and dental care in India and Costa Rica. His interest in India has always been primarily spiritual as it is the home of four major world religions and is the home of his beloved Avatar Meher Baba. He is endlessly fascinated by the people, geography, and culture of India. Every trip offers new things to discover and share.
Prashant Kalhapure was born and raised in the Deccan at Arangaon Village. He Went to Meher English School, Arangaon for 10 yrs. This school was founded by Avatar Meher Baba and his mandali. He then Graduated from New Arts , Commerce and Science College, Ahmednagar. He is fluent in Marathi, Hindi and English. Prashant is quite passionate about traveling. That’s the reason he chose his passion as his occupation, driving and tour guide. His father is also in this field for the last 30 plus years. Prashant got his driving license in year 2004 and for the last 10 yrs Prashant has had his own driving service, “Prashant Cab Service.” He has had the opportunity through his work to drive and guide people from all over the world.
